Hylke ten Bruggencate
Hylke advises national and international clients in complex disputes. He has represented clients in court proceedings, including before the Dutch Enterprise Chamber, and in arbitration (NAI, ICC, VIAC). He has a particular focus on corporate litigation and corporate governance advice, contractual and post-M&A disputes, liability and damages claims, and ESG.

- Representation of Shell in multiple proceedings, including before the Enterprise Chamber, concerning the emergency funding of and control over its Ukrainian joint venture.
- Representation of Rabobank in defending an appeal by the OAD bankruptcy trustee of a district court judgment dismissing the trustee's claims.
- Representation of a Chinese state-owned enterprise in securing a tort liability judgment arising from a USD 2 billion acquisition.
- Representation of a leading travel and leisure company in defending claims brought in injunctive proceedings and emergency appeal proceedings relating to the acquisition of a competitor.
- Representation of a defendant in arbitration proceedings regarding several contractual claims.
- Representation of a Dutch multinational on ESG-related risks and opportunities.
- Representation of a leading PE firm in relation to a governance conflict within a portfolio company.

Other work experience
Before joining Evers Soerjatin, Hylke practiced law in the litigation and arbitration practice of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (2016-2025) and was a visiting associate at London Magic Circle firm Slaughter & May (2024-2025).
