AI-statement

The use of (generative) artificial intelligence (AI) is regarded by the Netherlands Bar Association as a valuable tool for lawyers. Evers Soerjatin endorses this view, provided, of course, that the use of AI takes place in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to us.

With that in mind, we apply the following safeguards:

  1. We use only licensed AI tools that we have procured ourselves. Data entered remains within a closed and secured digital environment in the European Economic Area and is not used for the training of AI models. The confidentiality of the data is assured.
  2. AI contributes to improved quality and will not detract from the level of quality we strive for.
  3. AI serves as a supporting tool for our firm's specialists, but never replaces their independent professional judgment. Our specialists bear full responsibility at all times for the assistance we provide and the underlying services on which it is based.
  4. We maintain internal codes of conduct directed at upholding these safeguards. We provide our specialists with mandatory training in the responsible use of AI.
  5. We keep our clients informed about the use of AI and are available to answer any questions in this regard.
